Psych Nurse Practitioner or Psych Physician need to work part time 8- 16 hour per week (flexible, can be split up to fir candidates needs) Provide Outpatient psychiatric treatment and consultation services to assigned clients utilizing best practices reflecting OMH Practice Guidelines and complying with all additional applicable laws, rules and regulations (Primarily E&M checkups and initial assessments) Participate in overall treatment process including psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, medication management and symptom management. Consult and coordinate treatment with Clinic Psychiatrist. Consult with Social Workers as needed for complex cases. Document all services provided while maintaining all boundaries required for confidentiality. Provide assistance in psychiatric emergencies. Initial Appointments are scheduled for 45-60 minutes and E&M checkups are schedule for 15-20 minutes. Staff MD reviews treatment plans, but in MDs absence candidate may be asked to review treatment plans. Each patient is required to be in talk therapy with a social worker or health monitoring with a registered nurse during the course treatment with a psychiatrist. The majority of the patient base is Managed Medicaid and FFS Medicaid. The Clinic serves approximately 350-400 adults (18+) a month and is an OMH Licensed facility. Clinic hours are 9am -5pm and you can schedule the hours flexibly to accommodate your schedule
