Engineering Manager

We are seeking an innovative Engineering Manager to oversee and lead our Research and Development team, including Electromechanical Design and Product System Engineers. This role is vital for ensuring the successful development, integration, and implementation of cutting-edge technology and data security products.

As a leader within our engineering division, you will guide the team, ensure strict adherence to design standards, and maintain exceptional levels of productivity and innovation.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field is required. A Master's degree in Business is preferred.

• Leadership Experience: At least 7 years of experience in engineering management or a related role, with a proven track record of leading and managing engineering teams.

• Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software/techniques and high proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

• Industry Knowledge: Thorough comprehension of production management, quality standards, and safety regulations, particularly in safety and high-power systems.

• Core Capabilities: Excellent problem-solving skills, close attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams.

• Communication: Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to read, analyze, interpret, and speak fluently in English.

• Software Skills: Proficient with MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

• Environment: Work is performed in a typical climate-controlled office environment with moderate noise.

• Physical Requirements: Requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and prolonged periods of standing. Must be able to operate standard office equipment and lift up to 15 lbs. occasionally.

• Safety & Environment: Must exhibit good environmental practices consistent with job performance, promote a safe working environment, and comply with proper PPE protocols.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Lead and manage the engineering team, including Electro-Mechanical Design Engineers and Product System Engineers, to consistently meet project goals and timelines.

• Design Oversight: Oversee the creation of 3D models and 2D drawings of mechanical and electrical parts and assemblies, ensuring full adherence to internal design standards.

• Simulation Guidance: Guide the engineering team in conducting Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural, thermal, and dynamic analysis of designs.

• Documentation Control: Ensure the maintenance of precise revision levels for all drawings, alongside the creation of detailed Bills of Materials (BOM) and component specifications.

• Cross-Functional Integration: Collaborate with other departments to integrate mechatronics, software, and mechanical components into seamless systems.

• Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering issues to minimize system downtime and enhance overall performance.

• Compliance & Training: Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations, while providing technical support and training to team members as required.

• Safety Promotion: Promote a safe working environment, ensure proper PPE usage, report workplace incidents, and actively participate in functional department safety meetings.
