Job Title: Project Manager ISeeking to fill three (3) openings in the Department of Public Works. Salary is based on experience and/or qualifications, and is subject to negotiation. Manages capital improvement projects in the Public Works Department from the planning to closeout to ensure compliance with all City standards and regulations. Work is performed under direction with considerable latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment. Seeks technical guidance on unusual or complex problems or issues.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or closely related field; supplemented by five or more years' experience in construction management and/or public works engineering and infrastructure projects; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience. Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements), or obtain within one year of employment. Project Management Professional (PMP) and Professional Engineer (PE) certifications are preferred. Must have a valid Florida driver's license with satisfactory driving record throughout employment. Management Level IV employees are classified in the Regular Service Class and as of July 1, 2019, the mandatory employee contribution rate is 3% of salary regardless of which plan is chosen.Voluntary 401(a) Match PlanThe City offers a voluntary 401(a) City-matching program, in which the City will contribute up to a 3% salary match on a bi-weekly basis into a 401(a) Defined Contribution account. The City will contribute a match of 1%, 2%, or 3% based on the employee selection. Vesting is 100% upon plan enrollment.Deferred Compensation Plan (457 Plan)The City makes available a deferred compensation plan (MissionSquare 457 plan), for which the employee may voluntarily contribute to on a tax-deferred basis.
