Project Manager / Senior Project Manager: K-12 & Civic, Design-Build
Puget Sound, WA | Full-time | $170,000–$180,000 base + bonus + car allowance
Appleton Finn is partnering with a well-established general contractor, 60+ years in business with offices in three states, to hire a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to lead its K-12 and civic work across Puget Sound.
This is a high-impact role. You'll lead pursuits as well as projects, helping the business grow in two key markets, with a direct line to the regional president. Strong Project Managers ready for the next step will be considered for a Senior PM title.
Why this role
- Lead the work, not just run it: real influence on pursuits, strategy and team
- Education and public work are where the region's building pipeline is heading
- A growing business investing in its project leadership
- Visibility and support from senior leadership from day one
What you'll do
- Lead K-12 and civic projects through design-build delivery, from pursuit and preconstruction through to closeout
- Shape winning pursuits, including proposals and selection interviews
- Manage budgets, schedules, buyout, change orders and owner relationships
- Work closely with design teams and public owners such as school districts, cities and counties
- Lead and develop project teams
What you'll bring
- Design-build experience (required)
- K-12 and/or government/civic project experience
- GC/CM experience, including MACC negotiation, is a strong plus
- Typically 5+ years as a Project Manager with a commercial general contractor
- Puget Sound project experience and knowledge of local subcontractors and public-work requirements
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
Compensation and benefits
- Base salary: $170,000–$180,000, depending on experience
- Bonus: $20,000+
- Car allowance
- [Benefits: health, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO – confirm with client]
- Interested? Apply here or message Sam Corson at Appleton Finn for a confidential conversation. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates.
