Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP RN for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment requiring at least 1 year of experience and rotating on-call coverage.

Details

• 13-week assignment in the Cath Lab unit of an acute care hospital
• Rotates into PACU for Cath Lab patients
• 4x10 day shift schedule, either 6:00 AM-4:30 PM or 7:00 AM-5:30 PM depending on need
• Rotating weekday on-call plus every 3rd weekend on-call required
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Epic EMR used, experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Active WI or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted at submission, must be finalized during compliance)
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab/EP nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (NIHSS may be pending at submission but must be completed during compliance)
• Preferred charge nurse experience
• Skilled in procedures such as sheath removal/monitoring, 12-lead EKG/ECG, cardioversion, ACT monitoring, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Experience administering emergency medications, antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, and IV vasopressors
• SSN, DOB, and RTO details required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures
• Support procedures including PCI, left and right heart catheterization, IABP placement/removal, and pacemaker/defibrillator lead management
• Free parking provided on site
• Badge photo (passport-style) required within 24 hours of offer acceptance
• Two supervisor references required after offer acceptance
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted
• Travel pairs accepted
• Facility cannot accommodate candidates with latex allergies
• Previous travelers may return only after a minimum 1-year separation from the facility
• No RTO restrictions
