In this role, you will own engagements from kickoff to final report — managing day-to-day delivery, building core analyses, signing reports, and coaching the Associates working alongside you.As a Certified General appraiser ready to take on expanded client contact and leadership responsibility, you will deliver high-quality valuation services across a diverse range of commercial property types and intended uses. This is a compelling opportunity to deepen your expertise, grow toward the MAI designation, and make a meaningful contribution within a high-impact, growing practice at a top-ranked national CPA and advisory firm.What You'll Gain/ ImpactFull ownership of engagement delivery across diverse commercial property types and client use casesDirect client contact with lenders, auditors, and counsel — building relationships that matterMentorship from experienced onshore senior leaders invested in your technical and professional growthA clear path toward the MAI designation, with firm supportThe opportunity to develop and elevate the next generation of real estate valuation professionalsKey ResponsibilitiesEngagement DeliveryManage individual engagements, including scope, workplan, staffing, and deadlinesPrepare and sign appraisal reports, appraisal reviews, and consulting reports across property types and intended usesBuild and review income, sales comparison, and cost approach analyses, including DCF models in Argus Enterprise or ExcelLead property inspections, market research, and highest and best use analysesReview and Client ServicePerform first-level review of Associate and Senior Associate work for technical accuracy, USPAP compliance, and clarityServe as a primary client contact during engagements and respond to questions from lenders, auditors, and counselSupport litigation matters with research, analysis, and draft reports; provide testimony with senior support as you gain experienceTeam DevelopmentCoach and train Associates and Senior Associates and serve as supervisory appraiser when eligibleContribute to proposals, marketing materials, and practice process improvementsCandidate QualificationsRequiredAt least six years of commercial real estate valuation experienceCertified General Real Property Appraiser credential — active and in good standing in at least one U.S. stateDemonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and meet concurrent deadlinesStrong narrative report writing and attention to detailAdvanced Excel skills; Argus Enterprise and CoStar experienceClear, confident communication with clients and team membersValid driver's license and ability to travel for property inspectionsBachelor's degree in real estate, finance, economics, accounting, or a related fieldPreferredAt least two years of experience as a Certified General appraiserMAI Candidate for Designation — enrolled with the Appraisal Institute and actively progressing toward the MAISupervisory appraiser eligibility, or on track to meet AQB and state requirementsExperience with financial reporting, tax, or litigation valuation assignmentsCCIM or ASA progress$125,000 - $165,000 a yearThe salary range for this opportunity is stated above. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range.
