Job Overview A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its Mergers & Acquisitions practice in Kansas City, MO. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business and transactional law, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and complex corporate transactions. Duties Draft and negotiate definitive and ancillary transaction documents. Manage due diligence processes for various transactions. Advise private companies, investors, and portfolio companies on corporate matters. Collaborate with partners and clients throughout transaction lifecycles. Handle multiple matters efficiently with increasing responsibility. Requirements 3+ years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and corporate transactions. Strong emphasis on private equity sponsored deals, particularly in middle-markets. Excellent academic credentials and superior writing, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to navigate complex subject matter quickly and effectively. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Admission to the Missouri Bar. Skills Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
