RBA Technical Service Representative

POSITION SUMMARY The Technical Service Representative manages the ticket load efficiently to ensure peak customer satisfaction with accuracy and punctuality. They travel to different department buildings to confer with employees and handle customer inquiries, and consistently answer phone calls and emails from customers and dealerships within hours, providing high‑quality customer service in accordance with company standards. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Manage the ticket load efficiently to ensure peak customer satisfaction. Process warranty claims, including examining, preparing, recording, and reconciling all warranty claims on Rosenbauer products. Ensure warranty claims are resolved efficiently and accurately. Maintain records of processed, filed, and completed claims. Travel to various department buildings to gather information for customer inquiries. Answer phone calls and emails from customers and dealerships promptly and provide quality service. Follow SOP to procure necessary warranty parts for designated trucks. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to meet departmental needs. QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience: High school diploma required; associate degree in automotive or diesel mechanics preferred; EVT certification preferred; CDL certification preferred; experience with vehicle electrical systems preferred; 1+ years of sales or customer service experience preferred; 1+ years of similar role experience preferred. Skills: Ability to read and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or regulations; effective written communication; verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to follow written and verbal directions; basic math skills; intermediate PC functions in Microsoft Office Suite and MAS 500. Abilities: Problem‑solving in non‑standard situations; strong attention to detail; ability to read specifications; professional interaction with customers, dealers, and internal customers; prioritize work and multitask while meeting deadlines; work independently or as part of a team; follow safety policies. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Driving license required. Must own a vehicle; may need to travel off‑site for tradeshows, meetings, or company events. Availability for occasional evenings or weekends to meet departmental needs. Local travel required; may need overnight or prolonged travel. Ability to obtain a CDL license with a tanker endorsement and maintain an EVT certification. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Lifting requirement: team lift required for 50 lbs or more. WORKING CONDITIONS Wet or humid conditions (non‑weather and weather‑related). Work near moving mechanical parts. Work in high precarious places. Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. Outdoor weather conditions including extreme cold and heat. Risk of electrical shock. Vibration exposure.
