Pediatric Infusion Registered Nurse (RN)The Pediatric Infusion Center provides comprehensive support for various pediatric specialty services, including the administration of infusions and procedural care such as chemotherapy, monoclonal antibody treatments, blood product administration, enzyme replacement therapy, and gene therapy.Job OverviewThis position is designed for individuals who are capable of prioritizing tasks, demonstrating effective communication skills, and possessing strong intravenous (IV) skills, including experience with IV access devices (IVADs) and ports. Candidates must be adaptable to meet the evolving demands of the Pediatric Infusion Center.ResponsibilitiesAdminister a variety of infusion therapies and medications to pediatric patients.Monitor patients during infusion treatments, observing for any adverse reactions.Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members regarding treatment plans and patient care.Maintain a clean and safe work environment following all hospital protocols and procedures.Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record.Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.QualificationsCurrent RN License in New York State.A minimum of two (2) years of experience in pediatrics.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization (PEARS) certification.Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON) certification.This position offers a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. There are no weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements associated with this role.
