This role involves working in a dynamic 16-bed pediatric cardiac care center, providing top-tier care for critically ill pediatric patients with congenital cardiac conditions. Key responsibilities of the Physician Assistant Pediatrics CVICU include:

• Manage patients with congenital heart disease, including complex anatomy and physiology, in a multidisciplinary environment
• Care for high-acuity patients such as pre- and post-operative pediatric cardiac surgical patients and high-risk single ventricle physiology
• Perform arrhythmia management and provide vasopressor support
• Assist with external and internal pacemakers, VA/VV ECMO, and CRRT

Requirements of the Physician Assistant Pediatrics CVICU include:

• 2 years of experience in Pediatric Cardiac ICU
• Completion of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program
• Active New York State Physician Assistant licensure in good standing
• Current national certification as a Physician Assistant by NCCPA
• BLS from AHA
• PALS from ABA
