Industrial Waste Recycling Group Leader

Job Summary Leads, directs, and coordinates the operations of a group within an operations department. Ensures and improves the safety, quality, productivity, cost control, and positive employee relations using the principles of TPS, and other strategies outlined by the company and division directives. Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts 14 Paid Company Holidays 401(k) with Company Contribution Educational Tuition Reimbursement Responsibilities Follow safety guidelines Ensure all monthly safety KPIs are completed Ensure all rules involving safety and operations are enforced Clean work area according to 5S standards Ensure employees are trained and compliant Requisition of waste containers Assist in the coordination of shipping activities Sign waste manifests on behalf of customers Assist in receiving and shipping of waste containers Assist in preparation of the monthly waste reports Communicate problems to management Create and maintain operational procedures/instructions and other documentation Conduct team meetings and training Responsible for timecard approval and processing time-off requests Other duties may be assigned; some travel may be required Qualifications High school diploma and six months of related experience. Experience in a manufacturing environment and leading a team. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervise employees in Waste Management related activities. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibility includes training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
