Property Accounting Manager

Seeking a Property Accounting Manager for a growing global commercial real estate and property management company!

The Accounting Manager will oversee monthly financial reporting for a portfolio of commercial and multifamily real estate properties and manage property onboarding and offboarding as they enter or exit the portfolio.
\n \nKey Responsibilities:
\n- \n
- Review monthly financial statements, bank and escrow reconciliations, journal entries (accruals, depreciation, amortization), and balance sheet reconciliations \n
- Review owner distributions and management fee calculations; oversee cash flow and AP across the portfolio \n
- Lead property onboarding: transfer of historical records, bank account and system setup, and transition of vendor, utility, mortgage, and insurance accounts \n
- Lead property offboarding: final financials and closing packages, final distributions, account closures, and transfer of records \n
- Support year-end audit and tax reporting \n
- Train, mentor, and evaluate Property Accountants and Senior Property Accountants \n
- Serve as the escalation point for complex accounting issues and owner/asset manager inquiries \n
- Partner with the accounting, property management, and asset management teams and drive process improvements \n
Requirements:
\n- \n
- BS in Accounting; CPA preferred \n
- 7+ years of accounting experience, including supervisory or review responsibility \n
- Strong background in financial statement reporting, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and GAAP \n
- Real estate accounting experience and advanced Excel required \n
- Property transition experience strongly preferred; MRI or Yardi a plus \n
