Biologist for AI Research Benchmarks

Develop rigorous biology assessment content that helps evaluate and advance AI capabilities. You will either create original multiple-choice questions or verify existing questions, applying deep subject-matter expertise across pharmaceutical manufacturing, industrial and synthetic biology, medical research and drug discovery, and agricultural, environmental, and food biology.

• Create challenging, original biology questions that assess conceptual understanding rather than recall.
• Ensure every question is self-contained, unambiguous, and precisely defined, with all necessary information included in the prompt.
• Assign a difficulty rating of Medium, Hard, or Expert, corresponding to introductory undergraduate, advanced undergraduate, and postgraduate-level work.
• Provide one correct answer and nine plausible but subtly incorrect answer choices.
• Write clear, concise, step-by-step solutions with intermediate reasoning in Markdown format.
• Include one to five reputable academic references per question, such as peer-reviewed journals or university repositories.
• For verification assignments, assess questions for clarity, completeness, precision, accuracy, and solvability; edit as needed and document the rationale for changes.

• PhD or current doctoral candidacy in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Neuroscience, or a closely related discipline.
• A master''s degree may be considered for candidates with exceptional depth in a specific biology subdomain.
• Strong command of graduate-level biology concepts, experimental design, and data interpretation.
• Research publications or laboratory experience in the biological sciences is strongly preferred.
• Excellent written English and the ability to explain complex ideas clearly and concisely.

• Fully remote, asynchronous hourly work.
• Expected commitment of at least 10 hours per week.
• Assignments involve either question authoring or question verification.

$60 to $75 per hour.
