Lead Direct Support Professional - Delaware

At KenCrest, we’re looking for a Lead Direct Support Professional who’s not only compassionate and dependable, but also ready to take on a leadership role in supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.In this role, you’ll be both a mentor to staff and a trusted support for the individuals in your care. You'll help with daily routines, encourage independence, and create meaningful experiences—at home and in the community. If you love building relationships, solving problems, and helping others live fulfilling lives, this could be the perfect fit for you.This is a hands-on, team-oriented position where no two days are the same and every day matters.Job ResponsibilitiesSupport individuals with daily tasks like cooking, cleaning, and personal careGive medications and follow health plans (we will train you)Drive individuals to appointments, work, or fun activitiesHelp people build life skills and try new thingsEncourage individuals to speak up and make their own choicesKeep clear records and fill out forms as neededCommunicate with coworkers, families, and medical staffMentor and support other staff on your shiftHelp with money tracking, supplies, and schedulingKeep the home safe and follow emergency steps if neededQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredValid driver’s license and clean driving record required1–3 years of experience in direct care or a health-related jobMust pass background checks and drug testAble to complete CPR, First Aid, and Medication trainingGood communication skills and ability to follow directionsHourly #J-18808-Ljbffr KenCrest
