1:1 Special Education Teacher - White Rock, South Carolina

Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in students’ lives as a dedicated Special Education Teacher, working 1:1 with learners in a supportive school environment for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, on-site opportunity welcomes both local and travel professionals, including those based in the Charlotte, North Carolina area.

Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized special education instruction, adapting teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of assigned student(s)
Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to design and implement personalized education plans (IEPs)
Assess student progress regularly and adjust interventions as necessary
Foster an inclusive, motivating, and positive learning environment
Maintain accurate records and provide updates on student growth and needs
Participate in team meetings, professional development, and IEP reviews

Qualifications:

Active South Carolina Special Education Teaching certification (required for interview consideration)
Previous experience supporting students in a 1:1 or small group special education setting preferred
Empathy, patience, and strong communication skills
Capacity to adjust teaching approaches based on individual student needs
Commitment to fostering an inclusive educational atmosphere
Willingness to work on-site throughout the full school year
