You’ll translate engineering drawings into precise measurements, set up parts on a surface plate, and validate that castings, forgings, fabrications, assemblies, and machined components meet spec — every time.Interpret engineering prints and specifications to identify materials, finishes, tolerances, and critical dimensions.Calculate angles, radii, and any missing dimensions using formulas and shop math.Verify length, height, distance, and angles with advanced tools: CMMs, micrometers, V‑blocks, sine bars, calipers, dial indicators, angle plates, snap gages, gage blocks, height gages, level protractors, optical comparators, bore gages, ultrasonic equipment, and a profilometer.Complete first‑run inspections for fabrications and assemblies, documenting results and releasing only what meets standard.Lay out reference points and centerlines on a surface plate to support subsequent operations.Author clear inspection reports and communicate findings to cross‑functional partners.Investigate nonconformances, pinpoint root causes, and recommend corrective actions.Mission That MattersOur customers depend on uncompromising quality — including the U.S. military.
