Responsibilities

• Quality Engineer III designs and implements comprehensive test cases, leads quality assurance projects and continuous integration/continuous deployment automation initiatives, and collaborates in design discussions to ensure high-quality software and effective defect resolution.

• Designs and implements detailed test cases and scripts for Systems Integration, Regression, and Performance Testing to ensure high-quality software applications.
• Conducts quality assurance projects and continuous improvement initiatives to refine quality assurance processes and tools while coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Advances the creation of test plans, determines testing resource needs, and schedules testing activities to ensure thorough and timely testing.
• Actively engages in design discussions to identify and mitigate defects early, providing recommendations for user story backlog requirements with a focus on consumer impact
• Drives the development and execution of continuous integration/continuous deployment automation processes, contributing to the team’s automation strategy and fostering innovation in testing methodologies.
• Tracks defect resolution and performs root cause analysis to identify underlying issues, ensuring long-term solutions are implemented.
• Collaborates and co-creates effectively with teams in product and the business to align technology initiatives with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or comparable experience; advanced degree preferred
• Knowledge of test methodologies, test data management tools (e.g., CA DEVTEST, WIREMOCK, Optim, Datafinder etc.) and programming languages.
• Software engineering and development experience or a related job, with a focus on quality engineering
• Experience in writing test cases, running functional, automated, or performance tests, and managing and mitigating defects
• Experience in Software Development Life Cycle (test, defect, reporting and metrics, etc.)
• Experience in automation and testing in a continuous deployment/continuous integration environment
• Experience in quality scanning tools, ability to baseline and measure on-going quality metrics, and display via Dashboards
• Experience in working with the core tools used in the planning, analyzing, crafting, building, testing, configuring, and maintaining of assigned application(s)
• Experience in application programming interface testing, accessibility testing, chaos testing, security testing, performance testing, user interface testing, disaster recovery and relevant frameworks
• Licenses and Certifications:
• Test certifications like QAI, ASQ, IIST, ISEB, ISTQB is a plus.
