We do that by offering a diverse suite of payment and cashflow tools our customers need to run and grow their businesses, from a wide range of traditional card products, to working capital and supply chain financing, to new digital solutions that make it easy for our customers to manage their financial and payment needs.ResponsibilitiesQuality Engineer III designs and implements comprehensive test cases, leads quality assurance projects and continuous integration/continuous deployment automation initiatives, and collaborates in design discussions to ensure high-quality software and effective defect resolution.Quality Engineer III designs and implements comprehensive test cases, leads quality assurance projects and continuous integration/continuous deployment automation initiatives, and collaborates in design discussions to ensure high-quality software and effective defect resolution.Designs and implements detailed test cases and scripts for Systems Integration, Regression, and Performance Testing to ensure high-quality software applications.Conducts quality assurance projects and continuous improvement initiatives to refine quality assurance processes and tools while coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Advances the creation of test plans, determines testing resource needs, and schedules testing activities to ensure thorough and timely testing.Actively engages in design discussions to identify and mitigate defects early, providing recommendations for user story backlog requirements with a focus on consumer impactDrives the development and execution of continuous integration/continuous deployment automation processes, contributing to the team’s automation strategy and fostering innovation in testing methodologies.Tracks defect resolution and performs root cause analysis to identify underlying issues, ensuring long-term solutions are implemented.Collaborates and co-creates effectively with teams in product and the business to align technology initiatives with business objectives.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or comparable experience; advanced degree preferredKnowledge of test methodologies, test data management tools (e.g., CA DEVTEST, WIREMOCK, Optim, Datafinder etc.) and programming languages.Software engineering and development experience or a related job, with a focus on quality engineeringExperience in writing test cases, running functional, automated, or performance tests, and managing and mitigating defectsExperience in Software Development Life Cycle (test, defect, reporting and metrics, etc.)Experience in automation and testing in a continuous deployment/continuous integration environmentExperience in quality scanning tools, ability to baseline and measure on-going quality metrics, and display via DashboardsExperience in working with the core tools used in the planning, analyzing, crafting, building, testing, configuring, and maintaining of assigned application(s)Experience in application programming interface testing, accessibility testing, chaos testing, security testing, performance testing, user interface testing, disaster recovery and relevant frameworksLicenses and Certifications:Test certifications like QAI, ASQ, IIST, ISEB, ISTQB is a plus.Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.About the TeamAt American Express, our culture is built on a 175-year history of innovation, shared values and Leadership Behaviors, and an unwavering commitment to back our customers, communities, and colleagues.
