What You'll Do:

• Collaborate closely with internal teams including sales, marketing, Scripps creative and project management teams, as well as our national and/or local businesses.
• Develop and produce new design solutions and concepts to meet key business and user goals.
• Help to provide design support and solutions that meet the needs of internal client teams.
• Work closely with local and national businesses including creatives, marketers and business owners.
• Utilize any user feedback (qualitative/quantitative) to provide insights and suggestions to optimize existing designs and inform new ones.
• Help manage brand standards, updating guidelines and being a watchdog for brand inconsistencies.
• Pitch in to help support other creative needs when asked, including; brainstorming, branding, digital comps, studies and more.
• Establish best practice for local small business video creative.

What You'll Need:

• BS/BA in related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience
• Generally, 1-3 + years of experience in related field preferred

What You'll Bring:

• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, Dreamweaver, HTML5, CSS and responsive digital design tools a plus
• Excellent usability instincts and sense of design
• Experience designing dynamic display and video creative preferred
• Design experience with both static and animated display advertising
• Ability to produce high-quality work quickly, iterating towards the best solutions
• Exposure to interactive design (mobile, table, desktop) as well as architecture fundamentals and best practices for web and mobile
• Self-motivated, passionate person with a desire to learn and grow
• Ability to adapt and balance multiple projects in a fast paced environment
• Strong ability to develop creative concepts and solve problems effectively at scale
• Excellent attention to detail
• Effective presentation ability with excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Must have strong organizational skills
• Independent thinker, with strong work ethic
• Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams
