As a Screener in a government location, you will monitor entry points, conduct screening activities, and support a professional, welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. You will remain visible to help deter security‑related incidents while responding to site needs with care and professionalism. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM Tue 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM Wed 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM Thu 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM Fri 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location. Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or personal property at designated entry points in accordance with site procedures. Monitor access points and report unusual activity, prohibited items, and/or policy concerns in a calm, problem‑solving manner. Respond to incidents and critical situations with professionalism, following post orders and established escalation protocols. Complete required logs, screening records, and/or incident documentation, and conduct regular and random observations of assigned areas as directed. Minimum Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age. Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience. An armed guard card and/or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
