Manufacturing Cost AccountantWe are looking for a Manufacturing Cost Accountant to join a plastics manufacturing organization in Las Colinas, TX. This position will play a key role in delivering accurate product costing, inventory analysis, and financial insight that supports operational and business decisions. The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing accounting experience, a sharp analytical mindset, and the ability to work closely with finance and plant leadership to improve cost visibility and performance.Responsibilities:• Build and maintain cost accounting processes that accurately capture material, labor, and overhead expenses across manufacturing activities.• Prepare product and project cost allocations in accordance with established accounting guidelines and reporting standards.• Evaluate cost trends, investigate variances, and highlight findings that may influence margins, efficiency, or overall profitability.• Work with finance, production, and supply chain teams to deliver reporting, costing analysis, and practical recommendations for decision-making.• Contribute to annual physical inventory activities and ongoing cycle count programs to support accurate inventory records.• Assess inventory reserve balances, identify potential adjustments, and provide recommendations based on financial analysis.• Assist with budgets, forecasts, cost reports, year-end audit support, and other recurring financial reviews.• Partner with plant and operational leaders to understand manufacturing cost drivers, track performance indicators, and support continuous improvement efforts.• Support new product costing and quoting while helping refine costing methods, reporting workflows, standard procedures, and automation opportunities within cost accounting systems.
