Lab Assistant (Data Entry Representative I (SP)) - Tucker, GATuesday to Saturday, 1:00 AM to 9:30 AMPay range: $17.75+ per hour; employee may be eligible to receive shift differential of 10% for some or all hours worked on second shift and 15% for some or all hours worked on third shift. Additional details on shift differential will be provided if an offer is extended.Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. The Data Entry Rep (DER I) is responsible for data entry within the Specimen Processing Department and requires a data entry background. The Specimen Processing department is a production environment, with emphasis on productivity/quality standards and departmental completion times.ResponsibilitiesDetermining and verifying client account numbers, patient demographics and order codes into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).Accurately perform all functions and in a timely manner.Requires accurate data entry of all required information on requisitionsMaintains compliance and HIPAA regulations at all timesAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to meet quality and production standardsMust be detail-oriented with independent work habitsDemonstrates an ability to learn the job duties assigned to the DET I, and develops an understanding of how all the functions in Specimen Processing fit togetherDemonstrates an understanding of the compliance policies related to Specimen ProcessingMeets standards for production and accuracy within 6 months – 100% productivity ratePerforms other duties as assignedQualificationsPreferred Work Experience:Prior work experience doing primarily data entry; production environment preferredPhysical and Mental Requirements:Able to sit for long periodsAbility to visually interpret informationSkills:Solid organizational skillsAbility to transcribe/determine appropriate order codes and account numbers.Ability to work independently and as part of a teamCommunicates effectively and is cooperative with all levels of staffMaintains composure while working under pressureAdheres to Quest Diagnostics core values, safety, confidentiality, and compliance policies and proceduresKeeps work area neat and cleanExcellent attention to detailDemonstrates strong interpersonal skills that foster a positive environmentEducation:High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)About the TeamQuest Diagnostics honors our service members and encourages veterans to apply.
