The Marketing and Communications Lead plays a key role in defining and communicating the strengths, capabilities, and aspirations of the company internally and externally.This individual is able to develop and present messaging that is clear and inspiration to both internal and external stakeholders in a variety of settings ranging from tradeshows and informal client engagements to formal board of directors presentations,Characteristics of this individual include a strong and effective communications style and capability including both written and spoken delivery methods, the close relationship with key stakeholders and influencers in the industry, the ability to create professional visual, written, and oral messaging that effectively communicates the desired message in a clear and unambiguous manner.The ability to effectively lead and contribute meaningful and compelling strategic messages supporting proposal and other key communication opportunities in support of the business development objectives is a necessary capability for this role. Develop and implement strategic marketing and communications plans that are measurable, mission-aligned, results-focused, and effectively communicate the intended message to the target audiences. · Lead development of proposals including strategy development, opportunity assessment, competitive analysis, team development, and proposal development. · Oversee content creation—including writing, graphic design, and video—to support website, social media, email, and reports · Conduct strategic capture plans including strategy development and competitive analysis to develop and deliver compelling proposals and quotes. · Develop a strong brand recognition which effectively communicates the objectives and aspirations of the company and ensures brand consistency across all communications and platforms · Develop and execute the communications strategy within the marketing budget and external vendor relationships · Collaborate with program, development, and operations teams to achieve communication goals · Lead the decision process of selecting the most advantageous outside engagements for NUAIR participation resulting in the best use of budgeted funds to support the communications campaign. Coordinate all activities including preparation, communications strategy, manpower, securing speaking positions, marketing collateral, etc. Develop and maintain relationships with key communications partners including media outlets and thought leaders to extend NUAIR’s influence · NUAIR operates in a dynamic industry driven by emerging technologies, regulatory change, and evolving stakeholder needs. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred) · 5–10 years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, communications, or business development · Solid in-depth of the unmanned aviation community including the role of infrastructure providers in the overall ecosystem and the stakeholders who engage with infrastructure providers. · Experience in a goal-driven business development organization with a demonstrated capability to effectively plan and lead marketing campaigns and proposal developments resulting on growth of the overall business. · Demonstrated success developing and executing results-driven marketing strategies that support organizational growth or visibility · Experience managing budgets and external vendor partnerships · Flexibility to travel and participate in occasional evening/weekend events · Strong communications and interpersonal skills including the ability to understand industry related presentations and communications including the demonstrated skills necessary to understand the potential impact on NUAIR’s market position and to clearly and concisely convey strategic and tactical information to the full range of internal and external stakeholders. · Digital marketing and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite) · Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and/or other design and video editing tools · Website management platforms (e.g., WordPress, Wix, Squarespace) · CRM and email marketing tools (e.g., Achieves measurable impact, evaluating success through data and outcomes. · Communicates NUAIR’s values, goals, and social impact with authenticity and clarity. · Strategic Marketing: Leads long-term marketing vision, messaging, and execution to advance organizational reach. · Stakeholder Engagement: Builds trust and connection with partners, funders, media, and community members. · Equity-Centered Messaging: Develops inclusive, accessible content for diverse audiences and communities. · Resourcefulness:Delivers creative, high-impact results within lean budgets and timelines. ·
