• Previous charge experience
• Experience with a patient ratio of 3 to 4
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system

Description:

Candidates must provide all schedule requests and accommodations upon submission. Requests made after the offer or during the assignment are not guaranteed to be approved. Candidates must be willing to float within their scope of practice. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Local nurses are not accepted for this position. Candidates will be required to take on second RN duties and care for appropriate patients, including infants and mothers. Travelers with 18 months of experience are preferred. Candidates must possess experience in maternal child health units. The patient age group includes neonates. Daily census in the unit typically includes around 10 patients. The unit consists of 14 rooms and beds. Candidates must be able to assist with various tasks such as discharge teaching, infant assessments, and postpartum care. Skills required include administration of medications, breastfeeding support, postpartum hemorrhage management, and newborn assessments. Candidates must be prepared to follow safety protocols and infection control measures. Floating is required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals. Two supervisor references are required for submission. Only candidates from accredited nursing programs will be considered. A background check will be conducted before any offer is made.
