This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.Join Boeing's Phantom Works Virtual Warfare Center and lead a high-impact DevSecOps team building the secure, modern development environments used to prototype and evaluate next-generation defense capabilities. You'll be part of a mission-driven organization that tackles urgent, hard technical problems for warfighters-leveraging on-premises systems, cloud, containers, AI/ML, and high-performance computing to accelerate innovation.Why this role is excitingMake a direct, visible impact on national defense by enabling rapid prototyping and experimentation across multiple warfighting domains.Lead the transition of legacy software development environments into secure, cloud-enabled platforms used across classified and unclassified networks.Architect and deliver modern DevSecOps solutions-CI/CD pipelines, container platforms, automation, and vulnerability management-at scale.Mentor and grow a team of talented engineers while shaping the DevSecOps vision, roadmap, and standards for Phantom Works.Work in a collaborative environment interfacing with software development, IT, cybersecurity, and program stakeholders.Position Responsibilities:Lead a team responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining a consistent, secure software development toolchain across multiple sites and networks.Drive implementation of CI/CD across program and collateral secret environments and champion secure-by-design practices.Automate processes to build, test, secure and deploy custom C++software products.Architect cloud-based solutions and lead the migration of multi-site, multi-network environments to cloud platforms (including classified cloud experiences).Lead tool selection, trade studies, and modernization efforts-balancing security, scale, and developer productivity.Mentor, coach, and build technical capabilities across the team-fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.Communicate progress and strategy to leadership and stakeholders.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): Bachelor's Degree10+ years' experience with software engineering3+ years' experience with scripting languages such as Bash or Python3+ years' experience containerized software development3+ years' experience supporting DevSecOps lifecycleExperience with Agile development practices using continuous integration and deployment3+ years of experience performing automation, implementation and deployments in both Windows and Linux systemsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 10+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor's Degree and 13+ years of directly related work experience OR 17+ years of related, relevant experienceActive Top Secret SCI clearanceExperience with GitlabExperience with JenkinsExperience with JIRA3+ years' experience supporting cloud development environmentsExperience with cloud computing in classified environmentsCompTIA Security+Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.Travel: 10%Drug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace (DFW) where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Conflict of Interest:Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.CodeVue Coding Challenge:To be considered for this position you will be required to complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process.
