No problem. We’ll train you. Summary: Perform light vehicle maintenance as part of team in largest modern facility. Training, tools, technology all provided. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Drain oil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oil Replace oil and air filters Inspect vehicle fluid levels, replace or replenish as necessary Check tire pressure and add air if needed Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants Report machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor Ensure that customers’ cars are kept clean. Notify service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle Maintain a high level of grooming, hygiene and uniform appearance Conduct all business with sincerity, honesty and genuine concern for the customers Keep within the estimates that have been given to the customer Carefully inspect every repair order and vehicle for proper job completion Clean the windshield and vacuum every vehicle Advise the Manager of any repairs or services that are needed Advise the Service Manager of any situation that jeopardizes the safety, welfare or integrity of the Dealership, its employees or customers Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards Sells lubrication, safety inspection, and other related services Keeps shop area neat and clean Maintains and is accountable for all dealership‑owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as when they were received Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right‑to‑Know, etc. Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner MARGINAL DUTIES Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts Participates in manufacturer‑sponsored training programs as assigned by service manager SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two‑step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
