We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Compliance Coordinator to support quality, compliance, and credentialing initiatives across the organization.
Position SummaryThe Compliance Coordinator supports organization-wide quality and compliance programs by coordinating compliance activities, managing credentialing and privileging processes, overseeing training administration, and supporting incident reporting and risk management efforts.
Essential ResponsibilitiesCompliance & Quality- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop, review, and maintain Quality and Compliance policies and procedures.
- Maintain Quality and Compliance resources on the organization’s intranet.
- Prepare reports and documentation for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Coordinate and monitor the Business Associate Agreement (BAA) process and annual risk assessments.
- Conduct audits and maintain records related to compliance activities and investigations.
- Support the peer review process by compiling and distributing data.
- Coordinate provider credentialing and privileging activities, including initial appointments and renewals.
- Serve as the primary liaison with Credentials Verification Organizations (CVOs).
- Maintain provider credentialing files and track license and certification expirations.
- Prepare materials for credentialing committee meetings.
- Monitor and respond to reports submitted through the compliance hotline and incident reporting systems.
- Assist with investigations and corrective action plans.
- Administer the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Coordinate required compliance training and generate completion reports.
- Partner with department leaders to ensure training requirements are met.
- Associate degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field.
- Two (2) years of relevant experience in compliance, health information management, credentialing, or another healthcare-related field may substitute for the educational requirement.
- Two to three (2–3) years of experience in compliance, healthcare administration, credentialing, or quality improvement.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, filtering, and sorting.
