Senior Director of Development | Affordable Housing

The Opportunity - Development Leader This is an opportunity for a development professional to take ownership of deals, shape strategy, and make a lasting impact within one of the most respected and mission-driven affordable housing platforms in the country. The position will drive the sourcing, negotiation, and execution of new affordable housing opportunities while mentoring junior team members and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure successful outcomes. Additional responsibilities include: Lead the full lifecycle of affordable housing development projects, from opportunity sourcing and underwriting through financing, entitlements, closing, and construction coordination Source, evaluate, and successfully close LIHTC, acquisition, refinance, and other strategic real estate transactions while achieving annual production goals Prepare financial models, project budgets, pro formas, and investment analyses to support executive and board-level decision-making Manage project execution by coordinating consultants, overseeing entitlement and municipal approval processes, and tracking key milestones Build and maintain strategic relationships with developers, public agencies, lenders, investors, brokers, and community stakeholders to identify new opportunities and expand market presence. Develop relationships with affordable housing owners, government agencies, and brokers Coordinate tax credit and bond application submittals, additional subsidy requests, and lender applications Review construction plans with Construction Management Visit financing agencies to maintain relationships Participate in strategic planning efforts for Development Department Provides guidance and review work of Project Leaders and Analysts Our Firm KM Partners’ national Executive Search and Professional Recruitment practice areas focus on high-growth, impact-investment-oriented businesses across relevant industries, including Investment Management, Real Estate, Clean Energy, Sustainable Infrastructure, and related Business and Professional Services.
