Quality Control Lead - Swing Shift

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Quality Control Lead for swing shift (2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. PST) operations in Santa Clara, California. The role oversees incoming inspection activities, coordinates material releases, provides technical guidance to inspectors, and maintains quality and safety compliance across shift transitions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary operational contact for swing shift incoming inspection quality control activities
- Coordinate daily inspection assignments, adjust priorities, monitor progress, and manage resource coverage
- Provide technical guidance to inspectors on drawings, specifications, metrology methods, and procedures
- Reinforce environmental, health, and safety requirements; escalate hazards and incidents promptly
- Support timely material release by confirming inspection completion and approvals; manage nonconformance workflows
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years quality, inspection, or regulated manufacturing experience
- Working knowledge of quality systems and applicable regulatory requirements
- Ability to assign work, manage priorities, communicate clearly, and escalate issues
- Knowledge of engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection plans
- Experience with SAP, EtQ, or similar systems preferred
