Responsibilities:

• Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures under the supervision of a medical technologist
• Prepare and analyze samples such as blood, urine, and tissue for diagnostic purposes
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments
• Maintain accurate records of tests and results
• Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
• Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities
• Keep up-to-date with advancements in laboratory technology and techniques
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by a nationally recognized accrediting agency
• 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Lab Technician in a clinical setting
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in using laboratory equipment and computer systems
• Knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control protocols
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work different shifts and weekends if needed
