Overview Intermountain Electric Inc. (IME) is seeking a Senior Estimator to join their growing team. IME brings decades of experience as a trusted leader in electrical contracting, founded in 1946. What You’ll Do Key Responsibilities: Estimating: Calculate and prepare complete quantity take-offs, material price lists, labor costs per man hour, equipment, and other required data to achieve established ratios. Review, analyze, and interpret bid documents to determine Scope of Work. Formulate estimating approach and bid strategy to win projects within contract quotes. Demonstrate integrity and ethics with internal and external stakeholders. Communication: Clearly convey information and articulate challenges in a courteous, professional manner. Provide clarifications as needed to ensure understanding. Process & Compliance: Maintain accurate project plans, specifications, correspondence, and estimating documentation. Adhere to policies and procedures to ensure compliance. Leadership: Oversee a team of estimators, providing leadership, vision, and mentorship. Foster a collaborative, excellence-driven culture and cultivate client relationships throughout the bid process. Additional duties as assigned. Demonstrated Accomplishments In The Following Areas Proficient computer skills including Accubid Live Count, BlueBeam, and Microsoft Office. Advanced knowledge of estimating techniques and cost data interpretation. Ability to prepare complex proposals with minimal supervision. Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations and codes. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree in a relevant field, or a combination of relevant experience. 7+ years of electrical estimating experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Working Conditions The majority of time is in a typical office environment. Occasional travel to construction job sites may occur, with typical construction conditions including extreme temperatures, noise, dust, mud, debris, welding, trenching, and shoring. You may visit multiple locations in a single day. Benefits & Salary Benefits Overview: IME provides an industry-leading comprehensive benefits package. Full-time employees may select from healthcare options effective the first of the month after hire. A generous PTO policy and a fully vested 401k are also offered. Salary Range: $102,000 - $138,000. Final salary and rates are based on education, experience, skills relevant to the role, and internal equity. We install and service power and lighting for commercial and industrial buildings in the Western US.
