Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid and active Michigan SLP license required
• Experience working with elementary, middle, or high school populations is highly valued
• Prior school-based SLP experience preferred, demonstrating familiarity with IEPs, case management, and collaborating with school teams
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, families, educators, and fellow professionals
• Competence in conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering a range of speech and language interventions
• Adaptability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and needs

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students’ speech, language, and communication abilities
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in coordination with multidisciplinary teams
• Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and small group settings
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, progress, and services provided
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff consultations as a valued member of the educational community
• Offer recommendations and resources to educators and families to support students’ success
• Flexibly manage caseloads spanning elementary through high school, adjusting approaches to meet developmental needs
