Staff Pharmacist

Schedule: 32 hours/week with opportunity for up to 40 hours Compensation: $101,000–$115,700 annually + $5,000 annual location premium Sign-On Bonus: $20,000 with a 2-year commitment Position Overview We are seeking a patient-focused Staff Pharmacist to join a well-supported retail pharmacy team in Columbus, Ohio. This is a permanent opportunity offering competitive compensation, a substantial sign-on bonus, strong PTO, and the ability to increase hours by floating to nearby locations. The pharmacy serves a busy, underserved community and operates with a large team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced pharmacists and new graduates looking to develop their skills in a high-volume environment with significant team support. Schedule This position is structured for approximately 32 hours per week , with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours by floating to nearby pharmacies. Typical shifts are approximately 9–10 hours . Pharmacy Hours: Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM Saturday: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM Sunday: 1:00 PM–5:00 PM Occasional floating may be necessary to maintain scheduled hours during slower periods, generally around 2–4 times per month when needed. The typical float radius is approximately 30 minutes . This is a high-volume pharmacy with a strong support structure: Approximately 3,200–3,500 prescriptions per week based on standard script count Four pharmacists on the team Approximately 12 pharmacy technicians Typically 2 opening technicians and 3–4 closing technicians Vaccinating technician support currently available Responsibilities Accurately review, verify, and dispense prescription medications Provide medication counseling and education to patients Administer immunizations and support pharmacy-based clinical services Review prescriptions for interactions, contraindications, allergies, and appropriate dosing Collaborate with prescribers and other healthcare professionals to resolve medication-related concerns Maintain compliance with federal and state pharmacy regulations Support pharmacy technicians and promote efficient workflow Assist with inventory management and medication availability Deliver professional, compassionate service to a diverse patient population Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation Qualifications PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited pharmacy program Active Ohio Pharmacist license or ability to obtain licensure New graduates are encouraged to apply CPR/BLS certification Immunization certification preferred; assistance may be available for candidates who need to obtain immunization certification Strong communication and patient counseling skills Ability to work effectively in a high-volume pharmacy environment Willingness to occasionally float within approximately 30 minutes as needed Candidates relocating to the Columbus area are welcome to apply.
