Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs production machinery used to manufacture condiments such as barbecue sauce, mustard, jams, and syrups. This role focuses on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of batching machines, conveyor systems, and packaging equipment, using blueprints and schematics to diagnose issues and keep equipment running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair production machines including batching equipment, conveyor systems, and packing machines to minimize downtime and maintain consistent output.
• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs, including replacing motors and components on production equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to diagnose equipment problems and determine appropriate repair methods.
• Identify and resolve issues on production machines using strong troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Conduct basic PLC troubleshooting to support the operation and reliability of automated systems.
• Carry out preventive maintenance tasks on industrial machinery to extend equipment life and reduce unexpected failures.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately to support continuous improvement and equipment reliability.
• Collaborate with production staff to understand equipment issues, prioritize repairs, and ensure machines are returned to service safely.
• Follow safety procedures and best practices while working on electrical and mechanical systems in a food production facility.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending maintenance process enhancements and equipment upgrades.

Essential Skills

• Strong troubleshooting skills on production machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Solid electrical and mechanical knowledge applicable to industrial equipment repair.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical/mechanical schematics.
• Experience with industrial maintenance in food production or similar manufacturing facilities.
• Hands-on experience repairing production machines and related equipment.
• Basic PLC troubleshooting capability to support automated systems.
• Understanding of preventive maintenance practices for industrial machinery.

This is a Contract position based out of Oklahoma City, OK.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
