SUMMARY

Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipe, electrical and electronic systems in commercial or industrial establishments by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Inspect and test machinery and equipment as required to ensure proper function.

Troubleshoot machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with operators or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.

Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.

Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.

Replaces and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.

Mastery of reading blueprints, electrical or hydraulic schematics and other technical materials.

Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.

Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.

Installs, programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment and programmable controllers.

Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.

Operates cuttings torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.

Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus, such as transformers, motors, and light fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.

Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.

Initiates purchase orders for parts and machines.

Logs time and materials allocations to ensure accurate records.

Design and fabricate machine and equipment modifications as needed to achieve customer satisfaction.

Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.

Responsible for adherence to the policies, procedures and instructions of the ISO 14001 systems.

Job description:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the proper maintenance and installation of PLC units.
• Install and repair electric/electronic equipment used in the plant.
• Perform routine maintenance on various manufacturing equipment, machines, lighting, etc.
• Provide your own set of tools.
• General maintenance on all plant machinery.
• Gather and remove debris as needed and directed. Maintain general cleanliness of plant and machinery.
• Adhere to the required Standard Operating Procedures of the position.
• Attend all required training, including operations, safety, completion of Forklift Inspections

and all other requirements as assigned and directed.

• Consistently perform work in a safe and efficient manner with relation to machinery and

co-workers at all times. Adhere to and follow all safety rules and safe work methods.

• Maintain a clean, orderly area and return supplies and equipment to assigned locations.
• Must be available to report as required (“On-Call”) as necessary to support the business.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Maintenance Tech I/Driver position:

• This is more of a  facilities maintenance role than an industrial maintenance position.
• Duties include basic building maintenance, painting, lawn care, and general upkeep, with very little machinery maintenance.
• During the temporary assignment, the employee will  not be driving. However, to be considered, they  must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Please verify this with candidates before submitting them, as we'll most likely need to run an MVR.
• The company vehicle is a pickup truck, so no specialized driving experience is required.

QUALIFICATIONS for Technician III

Associates Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a 2 year college or technical school in maintenance or related field and 6 years technical experience in industrial maintenance position or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturing environment and can demonstrate a mastery of at least two (2) of the essential maintenance skills.

Able to follow both written and verbal instruction.

QUALIFICATIONS for Technician II

High School Diploma, or equivalent, and 3 to 5 years technical experience in industrial maintenance position in a manufacturing environment and can demonstrate a mastery of at least two (2) of the essential maintenance skills.

Able to follow both written and verbal instruction.

Shifts:

• 1st Shift (Maintenance Technician III): Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
• Mandatory overtime on Saturdays per management (1 opening)
• Mandatory overtime on Mondays and Thursdays, if required (1 opening)
• 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM
• Mandatory overtime on Fridays and Saturdays per management (2 openings)
• 3rd Shift: Friday–Sunday, 5:30 AM – 6:00 PM (12-hour shifts)

About the Position

As a Maintenance Technician I/Driver, you will perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently and that the physical condition of the buildings do not deteriorate. Drive company vehicle to pick up and deliver parts/materials to local vendors.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance department in daily work requirements.
• Drive a company vehicle in all-weather elements.

The Successful Applicant

• Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.
• Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve efficiency, capability, and yield.
• Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems.
• Performs maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Clean sand repairs building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters, and drains.
• Selects the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work.
• Works under moderate supervision.
• Provides excellent customer service and satisfaction.
• Follows all local and state laws, road/driving regulations, and Company policies.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or its equivalent, preferably; one to three years of related experience.
• Must hold a current non-provisional, unrestricted driver’s license.
• Must have a safe driving record deemed by insurance carrier.
• Ability to work well with others and independently.
• Understanding of electrical to include 120, 240, and 480 3 phase.
• Knowledge of PVC and pipe plumbing.
• Prefer candidate is mechanically inclined.
