Position Overview

We're seeking an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to serve as Clinical Supervisor for our Manhattan clinical team. This is a key leadership role responsible for supervising clinical staff, upholding high standards for documentation and compliance, and driving quality care across the program. Reporting directly to the Clinical Director or their designee, this LCSW-level role provides hands-on supervision, guidance, and accountability to clinicians while strengthening workflows, staff performance, and day-to-day clinical operations.

This role is ideal for a strong clinical leader based in or near Manhattan who can balance support with accountability, foster professional growth, and help build a positive, high-performing team culture.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Oversight & Documentation

• Review, approve, and sign off on clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes
\n
• Ensure documentation meets regulatory, clinical, and agency standards for accuracy, timeliness, and person-centered care
\n
• Monitor compliance with documentation deadlines and follow up with staff as needed
\n
• Maintain high standards for quality assurance and clinical record integrity
\n

Staff Supervision & Development

\n
• Provide regular supervision, coaching, and support to clinical staff
\n
• Strengthen staff clinical skills, critical thinking, and professional development
\n
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
\n
• Help staff build on their strengths and address areas needing improvement through ongoing coaching
\n

Program Operations & Productivity

\n
• Monitor clinician productivity and support effective caseload management
\n
• Help ensure staff are using time and resources efficiently in alignment with program expectations
\n
• Identify workflow challenges and recommend or implement practical solutions to improve operations and performance
\n

Leadership & Team Support

\n
• Serve as the primary clinical resource for the Manhattan team on complex cases, documentation questions, and day-to-day problem-solving
\n
• Build strong working relationships with clinical staff and team members across the program
\n
• Promote a positive, professional, and mission-aligned team culture
\n

Coordination & Communication

\n
• Collaborate closely with the Clinical Director and interdisciplinary team
\n
• Communicate clearly and consistently with leadership regarding staff performance, compliance concerns, and operational needs
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required, with active, unrestricted New York State licensure
\n
• Prior experience in substance use disorder (SUD) treatment strongly preferred
\n
• Previous supervisory, leadership, or senior clinical experience preferred
\n
• Strong knowledge of clinical documentation standards, compliance requirements, and quality assurance practices
\n
• Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
\n
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems effectively, and support team performance
\n
• Comfortable working fully on-site in Manhattan
\n
