Neurosurgical ICU Nurse Educator

Schedule: 40 hours a week. Variable. Assignment Details: Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 40

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse)
• Minimum of 3 years clinical nursing experience and/or equivalent health teaching experience
• Minimum of 1 year of education/training in administrative, management, and leadership principles and practices
• Instructor certification in any discipline of American Health Association (AHA), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course (ENPC), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), S.T.A.B.L.E, and TeamSTEPPS (preferred)
• Certification in Nursing Professional Development and/or area of specialty (preferred)
• 1 year of experience as a clinical nurse educator or in a staff development role (preferred)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop, organize, promote, implement, evaluate, and revise nursing professional development activities such as orientation, precepting, transition to practice programs, simulations, competency validation, computer-based learning, and continuing education courses.
• Serve as a nurse planner for continuing nursing education units.
• Promote and support evidence-based practice.
• Manage and administer nursing procedures and standards.

Compliance / Notes:

• Regular and sustained attendance is required.
• On-call work may be necessary to respond to organizational, patient, or employee needs.
• Must complete all required education as assigned.
