About the Role

We are seeking an Accountant to support ongoing construction projects and financial operations. This position will focus on project accounting, owner billings, Accounts Payable, compliance, and vendor/trade partner coordination.

This is a contract-to-permanent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career with the organization. The ideal candidate has construction accounting experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage owner billings and progress billings for construction projects.
• Prepare and process project-related invoices.
• Support Accounts Payable, including invoice processing, coding, and approvals.
• Assist with project accounting and job cost-related activities.
• Maintain accurate project financial documentation and support compliance requirements.
• Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and trade partners regarding billing and financial matters.
• Partner with project teams and accounting leadership to resolve billing and accounting issues.
• Support risk management and project financial controls.
• Independently manage assigned accounting workflows and deadlines.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as an Accountant
• Experience with owner billings, progress billing, or job cost accounting
• Accounts Payable experience
• Experience working with vendors, subcontractors, and trade partners
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• CMiC experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with construction ERP/accounting systems is a plus
