About the Role

The Company is seeking a part-time, contract Executive Director to lead its professional certification programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration of certification programs, including the implementation of a new website and technology platform, and the management of the application and renewal process. This role also involves guiding the Board of Directors in decision-making, ensuring that new initiatives align with the organization's mission and vision, and driving the development of strategic and business plans. The Executive Director will be the primary staff person, with a focus on financial and budget management, and will serve as the key representative for marketing, communications, and external relations. The ideal Executive Director for the company will have a background in administrative and operational management, be adept at financial oversight, and possess a strategic mindset. They should be an expert in relationship-building, both with internal volunteers and external constituencies, and have a strong interest in wetlands, the environment, and professional development. The role requires a candidate with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, who can demonstrate a collaborative and professional leadership style, and is capable of ensuring the sustainability and growth of the certification programs. The position is remote, with a preference for candidates in the Southeast, and may involve occasional travel to meetings and industry events.
