JOB DESCRIPTION

Wise Staffing Group has immediate openings for Quality Team Members/Quality Inspectors.

Our client provides quality inspection, containment, sorting, and rework services within manufacturing plants and warehouse environments.


Work Location: Assigned manufacturing or warehouse facility
Schedule : Assigned shift; overtime may be required

Employment Status: Hourly


POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Team Member will inspect parts and products to identify defects or items that do not meet established quality standards. Inspections may include individual parts, subassemblies, or completed assemblies.

This position may perform visual inspections, functional inspections, sorting, containment, audits, and approved rework activities. Team members must follow all work instructions, quality standards, safety requirements, and client-site procedures.

This is an entry-level opportunity. Training will be provided on inspection procedures, basic quality documents, gauges, tools, and applicable worksite requirements.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspect parts, subassemblies, and completed assemblies for visible defects or nonconforming conditions.
• Perform visual inspections, functional inspections, containment, sorting, audits, and rework activities.
• Compare inspected products to established work instructions, specifications, samples, and quality standards.
• Immediately notify the Team Leader or supervisor when instructions or specifications are unclear.
• Separate, identify, and report defective or nonconforming products.
• Follow all documented rework processes and procedures.
• Safely use approved hand tools, gauges, machines, and inspection equipment.
• Learn to read and follow basic quality control plans, procedures, prints, and inspection documents.
• Accurately collect, record, and report inspection and production information.
• Complete timekeeping and required documentation accurately and on time.
• Follow all company and client health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Wear required personal protective equipment and comply with all worksite safety rules.
• Maintain productivity, efficiency, quality, and customer-service expectations.
• Report safety concerns, quality issues, equipment problems, or work-related concerns to the Team Leader or supervisor.
• Arrive at the assigned worksite on time, properly dressed, with required PPE, and ready to work.
• Perform other quality inspection or production-support duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical education or vocational training is preferred but not required.
• Previous manufacturing, quality inspection, warehouse, or production experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to read, understand, demonstrate, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability and willingness to learn basic quality standards, inspection plans, gauges, and measuring tools.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product defects.
• Ability to remain focused while performing repetitive or multiple tasks.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Professional attitude and customer-service mindset.
• Dependable attendance and reliable transportation.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and complete required documentation.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
• Ability to comply with company, client-site, dress-code, and PPE requirements.
• Ability to provide a documented work history and professional references when requested.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently push, pull, lift, carry, reach, bend, and perform repetitive movements.
• Ability to perform physical work for extended periods during the assigned shift.
• Ability to work inside manufacturing plants, warehouses, and, when required, outdoor work areas.
• Ability to work in environments that may be extremely hot or cold.
• Ability to work around machinery, material-handling equipment, noise, chemicals, and other industrial conditions.
• Ability to wear required PPE, including approved safety eyewear.
• Must have sufficient vision to inspect parts accurately. Corrective lenses are acceptable when permitted by the worksite.
• May be required to wear over-the-glasses safety eyewear when prescription glasses do not meet applicable safety standards.
• May be required to complete a color-vision or color-acuity assessment based on the inspection assignment.
