Job Title Lifestyle Director Job Type Full‑time Salary $28.00–$32.00 per hour Position Overview The Lifestyle Director is responsible for managing resident programs to include recreational, social, cultural, travel, and entertainment designed to enrich the quality of life and enhance community vibrancy for residents and prospective homebuyers. Responsibilities encompass program development, facility scheduling, administration of chartered clubs, and overall program promotion and publicity. The Lifestyle Director ensures that all programs and services are conducted in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives of Pulte/Del Webb and/or the Community Association and Management Agreements in place. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Plan, coordinate and implement resident programs, classes, and special community‑wide events, soliciting input and involvement from residents and prospects to stimulate participation. Assist members, chartered clubs, and community organizations with the scheduling of Association facilities, coordinating program and room requirements, and arranging fee collection. Oversee the operation of the activity registration desk or retail counter to ensure adequate staffing, policy implementation, merchandise promotion, asset control, and required documentation. Oversee the New Resident Orientation presentations to ensure adequate promotion, room set‑up, amenities, and community participation. Oversee the Facility Monitors on a regular basis. Coordinate the development and distribution of the Association newsletter, SDV website, and other lifestyle public relations and marketing publications. Work with residents to assist in the establishment of chartered clubs, aiding in the application process, assignment of facility space, promotion of programs, file maintenance, and general oversight. Develop an active volunteer program among residents, providing both promotion and recognition. Maintain the recreation budget and track spending, reporting back to the Financial Manager via credit card reconciliation reports. Coordinate all other duties as assigned. Requirements Junior college level skills in math, business writing, vocabulary, and communications. Minimum three years of experience coordinating and promoting recreational activities and programs, volunteer programs, and/or fundraising events. Prior experience with homeowner association or active adult programs is a plus. A degree in recreation, hospitality, or communication is preferred. General knowledge of computer systems, registration processes, policies and procedures, equipment, materials, and products relevant to the role. Ability to use general office equipment and software programs. High energy, social skills, initiative, enthusiasm, cooperation, and good judgment. Accountability for individual performance, work of others, equipment, supplies, product quality, and safety. Current California driver’s license, DMV printout, and proof of current automobile insurance. 24‑hour emergency and weekend on‑call availability. Minimum Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Language Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with employees and clients at all levels. Availability Regular business hours with availability for board meetings after regular hours as necessary. Work Environment Typical office building.
