Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Controller to join our team in Chester Township, PA. As a key member of the company, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our accouning operations and ensuring the integrity of our financial reporting and bookeeping. Responsibilities- Manage all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Prepare and present monthly financial statements and reports to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and accounting standards.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights to drive financial performance.
- Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors.
- Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships to optimize financial resources.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance in the construction industry or in a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
