With a large national footprint and a strong commitment to operational excellence, safety, customer service, and sustainability, the company is focused on delivering high-quality products while driving continuous improvement throughout its operations.Position SummaryThe Area Manufacturing Manager plays a critical role in partnering with corporate electrical reliability and turbine technology teams to ensure the reliability, maintenance, and continuous optimization of power distribution systems across multiple manufacturing sites. This position works closely with plant leadership, electrical engineers, and reliability professionals to improve system performance, support capital projects, and enhance operational efficiency.This role is heavily focused on electrical power distribution systems, medium-voltage equipment, and gas and steam turbine maintenance and repair, with significant travel required to support facilities throughout the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical Reliability & OperationsPartner with engineering and reliability teams to execute electrical power distribution priorities with an emphasis on reliability, maintenance, and troubleshooting.Provide technical support and root-cause analysis for electrical equipment failures involving facility power distribution systems.Support implementation of major process improvements and reliability initiatives across multiple sites.Assist in developing and maintaining engineering standards, specifications, and best practices.Capital Projects & Engineering SupportLead electrical design efforts for capital projects, including:Scope developmentEquipment sizing and selectionDetailed designFunctional specification developmentProvide construction oversight, commissioning, startup, and project execution support.Turbine Maintenance & ReliabilityTroubleshoot gas and steam turbine operational issues.Support turbine dismantling, inspection, repair planning, and equipment evaluation.Oversee turbine reassembly, ensuring proper setup, tolerances, and clearance dimensions.Collaborate with plant personnel and contractors during maintenance outages and repair activities.Leadership & Resource ManagementProvide guidance and technical direction to plant personnel and contractors.Manage project budgets and spare parts inventory to support reliability objectives.Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, reliability, and operational performance.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience.Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering or electrical reliability experience supporting industrial manufacturing operations, preferably within the pulp and paper industry.Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.Thorough understanding of safe electrical work practices.Working knowledge of:NFPA 70ENational Electrical Code (NEC)Proficiency with:Microsoft ExcelMicrosoft WordPowerPointOutlookCAD softwareStrong verbal and written communication skills.Ability and willingness to travel 75%+ of the time.Preferred QualificationsProject management experience.Experience using SKM Power System Analysis software.Strong background working with:Medium-voltage switchgearMedium-voltage motorsIndustrial power distribution systemsExperience supporting gas and steam turbine equipment in an industrial environment.Compensation & BenefitsCompensationBase Salary: $129,500 - $185,000Annual Bonus: Eligible based on individual contributions and overall company performanceBenefitsThree (3) weeks of paid vacation annuallyPaid holidaysMedical, dental, and vision insurance eligibility within the first 30 days of employmentCompany-paid life insurance, AD&D, and disability coverage401(k) retirement plan with:Traditional pre-tax contributionsRoth contribution optionsEmployer matching contributionsDisclaimerCompensation and benefits information reflects the employer's current estimate for this position and may be modified at any time in accordance with applicable laws and business needs.Travel Requirement: 75%+Industry: Manufacturing / Industrial OperationsFocus Areas: Electrical Reliability, Power Distribution, Medium Voltage Systems, Gas & Steam Turbines, Capital Projects, Maintenance Excellence
