LHH Recruitment is working with a company near Tempe who is seeking an experienced Buyer to join their procurement team. This position is responsible for managing the full purchasing cycle, ensuring materials and services are sourced efficiently while maintaining quality, cost, and delivery expectations. This role is Monday-Friday, fully onsite and compensating up to $85,000 DOE.

The ideal candidate has experience in a manufacturing or aviation environment and thrives in a fast-paced setting where attention to detail and strong supplier relationships are key to success.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full-cycle purchasing process from requisition through purchase order and delivery
• Source materials, equipment, and services while negotiating pricing, lead times, and terms with suppliers
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure reliable supply and competitive pricing
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast purchasing needs to support production schedules
• Expedite purchase orders and proactively resolve supplier delivery issues
• Analyze purchasing trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
• Review supplier performance related to quality, pricing, and on-time delivery
• Partner with engineering, production, planning, and warehouse teams to ensure material availability
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and ERP system data
• Support inventory control initiatives and participate in cycle count and inventory optimization efforts
• Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and industry standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred
• 3+ years of full-cycle purchasing or buyer experience in a manufacturing environment
• Aviation or aerospace industry experience strongly preferred
• Experience negotiating pricing, contracts, and supplier agreements
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, procurement, and supply chain principles
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent analytical, organizational, negotiation, and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
