Software Engineer Java Spring Boot

Salary: $101,100 - 152,550 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a closely related field, or an equivalent mix of education, training, and experience.
• We need at least 5 years of relevant Java software engineering experience, excluding internships.
• Were looking for strong design skills along with advanced SQL and Java programming expertise.
• You should be able to quickly understand business objectives, define requirements, and turn them into practical technical solutions.
• You must be comfortable adapting to shifting priorities and changing business needs.
• We value experience with microservices architecture, globally distributed services, and 24/7 support environments.
• Experience with RESTful API design and cloud technologies such as Kubernetes and Kafka is required.
• You should have solid knowledge of SQL, relational data modeling, and database schema design.
• Bonus experience includes monitoring and self-healing resilient platforms, high-volume low-latency transactional systems, AWS or OpenShift, and tools such as Ansible, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Harness, Snyk, SonarQube, Cucumber, Karate, Splunk, Sysdig, OpsGenie, OpenTelemetry, Instaclustr, Prometheus, JBehave, JGiven, xMatters, and ServiceNow.
• We prefer experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and a strong TDD mindset.
• Pair programming experience is a plus, and a willingness to try it is expected.

• We collaborate with Product, Platform, Merchant Services, and Support teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• We use Agile practices such as pair programming and test-driven development to improve speed and quality.
• We deploy new features to production with zero downtime and no disruption to customers processing payments.
• We deepen our expertise in e-commerce payments and apply it to building new product capabilities.
• We work in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment where communication matters.
• We contribute to scalable microservices while also supporting a complex monolithic application that powers payment processing and value-added services for merchants.
• We help automate merchant onboarding and integrate with card brands and internal services through file-based exchanges and RESTful APIs.
