Distribution Supervisor

Distribution Supervisor Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Supervises union staff in the cooler department. Manages and directs lead specialist in daily shipping tasks. Maintains daily shipping schedule. Verifies proper items and lot codes shipped. Ensures an efficient shipping schedule. Verifies and audits daily time schedules and clock punches using Kronos. Schedules manpower as needed for daily shipping on all shifts. Prepares a weekly schedule. Organizes and maintains equipment associated with shipping and receiving. Assigns tasks as needed for basic maintenance of equipment. Prepares and follows up on work orders as needed. Assists in inventory procedures. Counts and recounts product as needed. Communicates and coordinates within the plant including Maintenance, Quality Control and R&D, Parts, Shipping, Warehousing, Condensing/Drying, Clean up and Office. Organizes and utilizes materials, machinery and personnel for greatest efficiency while developing personnel to the maximum extent of their ability, while maintaining morale. Carries out corporate G.M.P.’s, personnel and safety policies while maintaining correct discipline within the plant. Ensures equipment is maintained in safe and proper condition by the maintenance department by notifying them of problems. Makes management aware of changes to procedures that would result in better quality and performance of the entire operation. Qualifications / Requirements : Must be able to perform all essential duties effectively. 5 years logistics experience. A high school diploma with two years of higher education or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment. Computer literate. Physical Demands and Working Environment Manufacturing environment with frequent presence on the plant floor. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods and access production and mechanical areas. Exposure to typical plant conditions including noise, temperature variation, and moving equipment. Flexibility to support non-standard hours during critical project phases (e.g., shutdowns, startups). You Are Best Suited for The Role If You Have ...
