Bartender - Sofia Restaurant

What you’ll do: Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age. Plan and present the bar menu. Prepare and mix ingredients to prepare alcohol and non-alcohol cocktails and beverages for bar and restaurant guests. Engage with customers in a friendly manner; take orders, serve snacks, food, and drinks. Uses the correct glassware for specific beverages Responds promptly to customer concerns Develops strong, productive, professional relationships with internal and external customers Maintains the highest standard of professionalism, ethics and attitude towards customers and team members Maintains par level of equipment and supplies Ensures bar and working areas are clean and always organized Keeps up to date with the latest cocktail trends and mixes Assists in maintaining and controlling par stocks Requisitions beverages in relation to amount of business Complies with sanitation and safety regulations and standards Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies prior to shift. Perform bar opening and closing duties. Take inventory of bar supplies and beverages. Comply with all food and beverage regulations. Stay updated on Forbes Travel Service Standards. Perform additional duties as requested by management. What we’re looking for: A positive attitude and ability work well under pressure with other staff. Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised. Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system. Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and deliver orders in a timely manner. Thorough knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits. Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks. Follow all company policies and procedures including proper timekeeping and emergency and safety procedures. Qualifications: High school or equivalent education required. Certificate from an accredited Bartending program. Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits must be “SERV Safe Certified” by the State of Florida. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill required tasks. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity. Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, and co-workers. Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near and color vision and depth perception.
