Process Specialist

Process SpecialistCommunicates and resolves manufacturing related issues in a fast-paced environment while supporting the Quality and Manufacturing functions by educating employees on quality systems, quality metrics, and customer engineering. Ensures that processes and products consistently meet established quality standards internally as well as externally. Works with a diverse group of team members in a collaborative method.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management or related field or equivalent work experience, preferably in the Aerospace IndustryMinimum of 3 years of knowledge and experience in the Quality Assurance fieldPosition Responsibilities:Provide training, learning and development where appropriate for all employeesProvide training as required in quality system concepts, audit techniques, approaches corrective/preventative actions and continuous improvement activities.Partner with other departments to ensure the adherence to the Quality Management System and other compliance requirements.Collaborates with operations, leaders, purchasing, customer service and others to efficiently meet customer demand.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact and deal with internal and external customersSupports all regulatory and customer quality audits as neededProvide visibility to management of potential manufacturing issues, as well as input on internal perceptions associated with Quality and Delivery performance.Works with Manufacturing and Quality Assurance personnel to perform in process review and assure best practices are followed.Works with Manufacturing and Quality Assurance to implement cost savings through VSM exercises, and continuous improvement initiatives.Review applicable organizational policies and procedures, ensuring accuracy and relevance, communicating policy and procedure updates and changesPerforms other related duties, as requiredWorks as the interim QE when the position is vacant and handles customer escapes and customer RCCAs.Production and Processing:Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.Tasks:Has the capability to troubleshoot complex and questionable manufacturing issues by asking the right questions to get to the root cause of the problemAbility to work in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities and shifting time requirements.Makes decisions based on customer/regulatory/internal requirementsAbility to effectively communicate in small and large group environmentsConfer with organizational team members at all levels to discuss issues, coordinate activities or resolve problems.Implement corrective actions to address organizational or departmental issues.Must be an engaged leader with a "hands on" approach to process improvementFully understanding the financial impact of decisions made on a daily basis, including closely monitored non-value added cost in an effort to reduce or eliminate.Work closely with shop floor leadership and employeesAnalyze customer miss-deliveries in order to propose improvement action plans: Define and optimize data gathering and exchange to ensure data integrity in systems.Assess and report project opportunities, risks and potential solutions.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
