Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 5 years License: Required Certifications: BCLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Must be able to pass EKG exam - Experience in Med/Surg, Blood Product Administration, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, Starting IVs - Knowledge of Insulin management, PCA, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injury, ortho trauma, and surgical drains Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical trauma. The nurse will manage patient care for geriatric trauma patients and those with acute care surgical conditions. The nurse will work with patients coming from various sources including the emergency department and operating room. The nurse will be responsible for administering blood products and managing various medical devices and interventions. Required skills include wound care, oxygen management, and isolation precautions. The nurse will be part of an interdisciplinary team providing support across a range of specialties. Facility highlights include being a Magnet and teaching hospital with a high volume of trauma cases. The position requires the nurse to work every other weekend. All travelers will float within service lines as needed.
