Job Opportunity: FOOTBALL EQUIPMENT MANAGER - PART TIME at Confidential Schenectady, NY

Football Equipment Manager – Part‑time Hours per week: 20 hours. Seasonal position (approximately 18 weeks per year). Shift: late weekday afternoons and Saturdays. Pay: $20.00 per hour. Non‑benefits eligible. Non‑exempt, temporary part‑time. Responsibilities Inspect, evaluate, and maintain football equipment to ensure it is kept in top working condition and meets safety standards. Ensure proper fitting and adjustment of football protective equipment for intercollegiate programs, maximizing protection against injury. Collaborate with Equipment Manager, Athletic Training Staff, and student workers to create an efficient, collaborative and safe environment for student‑athletes. Attend practices and games to troubleshoot any equipment or apparel issues. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, certifications, and work experience. Comprehensive knowledge of safety protocols and proficiency in equipment fitting, maintenance, and repair. Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills; knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Detail‑oriented with commitment to safety and inventory management. Ability to foster and enhance a diverse, inclusive, and culturally vibrant community. Capability to lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and stooping for extended periods. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Must possess or obtain a valid New York State driver’s license.
